Mercateum Königsbrunn
As the world's largest globe based on historical cartography, the Mercateum brings together history and architecture. For this structure in Königsbrunn, we manufactured the textile outer envelope of the building. The main challenge lay in the precise fabrication of the printed membrane panels for the spherical, pneumatically tensioned structure.
The goal was to render the historical map motif evenly and without visible seams across the entire surface. The result is a technically demanding membrane solution that combines architecture, print quality, and durability.
